From Wikipedia Prince Nico Mbarga (1-01-50 — 24-06-97)… born to a
Nigerian mother and a Cameroonian father in Abakaliki, Nigeria. Music
inspired by the 5 years he spent in Cameroon during the Nigerian Civil War
in the late 1960’s. “Sweet mother,” in 1976, more than 13 million copies…
one of Africa’s greatest songs)… Here is Louisiana Tilda, Camerounian
backup singer of Prince Nico Mbarga and the Rocafil Jazz: Sweet mother; Aki
Special; Christiana; Welenga; Simplicity; Etc. Nice!

FXIX says:

Are those removed comment are racist stuff? I’m here for learning world
music; i’m just passing through 😛

Cormac Bennett says:

Did I just see Eddie Murphy and James Earl Jones in that video???

BrkCityFG9 says:

I don’t give a fuck where he is from , this is damn good music. that Tilda
is beautiful woman and we should STOP fighting about this nonsense.

BrkCityFG9 says:

Camogerian, now squash this stupid argument

Mitou84 says:

Bros and sis, I don’t think you should go that way. I am from the Ivory
Coast and we played and danced all of Prince Nico’s song and we even
nicknamed the platform shoes “Rocafil Jazz”. What difference it makes if
Prince is from Nigeria or Cameroon? It is good to know something about a
singer particularly the good one and Prince happens to be one of the best.
Therefore people will write a lot about him and not everything is said
right. We are all Africans.

Charles Poufong says:

Wh is this lovely singer and dancer Tilda? Somebody please tell me. she
makes these old rrliables sound even better and more meaningful really,
don’t you think?

mfenaadisukibaba says:

Don’t you think the word devilish is too strong an adjective to use? And
where is the tribalism here.Maybe you have not seen the wikipedia quote
that is meant to diminish anything Nigerian in this man’s music.Or that is
justice……happy birthday but don’t disturb me with needless comments.

omoibile says:

It is idiots like you too who are fighting over whether Prince nico was
Nigerian or Cameroonian. Who cares? He was African, that is what matters!
Thx for the music Pr Nico and may your soul RIP, Nabs

owusu sampson says:

This song reminds me of the GOOD OLD DAYS. cheer-up . The African adage
goes “When a hero dies his tongue lives on” Prince nico was an African horo
indeed–R I P. To those living, please cheer up and continue living as
heros ….

didierortiz100 says:

mfenaadisukibaba says:

why r u quoting wikipedia for us?which country’s national passport did he
carry? He carried a Nigerian Passport.Where was this classic produced? It was
produced by Rogers All Stars in Onitsha, Nigeria. That he came to cameroon
during the civil war does not mean he came for musical
inspiration!Cameroonians should go and look for their authentic music
hero.Prince Nico represents the excellent spirit of the Nigerian

Kabura Niyonkuru says:

i like this song because this girls are good dancers and they are my
favorite and the little girl who the people are celebrating for and thank
you very much bye bye bye bye bye

LibertyN JusticeForAll says:

Don’t mind Mfenaadisukibaba. I am African of Nigerian extraction too and i
don’t care what the man came from. He could have come from Mars, as long as
the music is good I will listen and dance.

manyi4u says:

I don’t want U to go ahead with this devilish impression about
distinguishing humanbeings. Whether he came from Nigeria or not, he is
God’s creation just like U, I and her singing. Are you tribalistic?oh! no
you are You must be a lover of injustice.Sorry for any rough phase(s) here,
but today is my birthday so I do enjoy the song…thanks
