Legacy – Cameroon Azonto (Official-Video)
Azonto is a dance and a music genre originating from Ghana. Azonto is known to have originated from a traditional dance called Kpanlogo from the coastal areas.
"The dance involves a set of hand movements that either mimic everyday activities or are meant to signal an often amusing intention. It begun with one or two step movements but has been advanced to more complex and almost acrobatic movements. Just like most African dances, knee bending and hip movements are elements to dancing it. The dance has effectively evolved from a few rudimentary moves to embrace depictions of ironing, washing, driving, boxing, grooming, praying, swimming, and others." (wikipedia)

I’m loving this
Nice song, but where was the Azonto in this video, seemed to be singing about Azonto without actually doing any Azonto dancing, seemed like everyone was self conscious and too shy to actually bust some proper Azonto moves.
Exactly, people should learn to be creative and not copy from others. Come up with your own song title.
wuna no trong
u fool there has always been idea borrowin in this world stupid cunt
I see you do not have the word respect in your vocabulary, you do not have to be rude. It was just an opinion. Two wrongs do not make a right. Go create your own song title. A black man like yourself needs serious help on how to reply to others. Please next time, behave like a mature human being.
I AM VERY IMPRESS BUT DON’T YOU THINK THAT THE GHANIAN OR THE NIGERIAN WILL RECOGNITION US ALIEN. I WISH WE SHOULD USE OUR OWN RAW MATERIALS AND TECHNICAL KNOW HOW . GOD BLES ABAKWA BOYS
@sexypaysan1 you are right. Cameroonians keep prying on the buzz of others, and fails to put up their own culture

Ahhh!!!!!!!!! noo no no noooo CAMEROONIANS say ”Cameroon OBOSSO”’ Not AZONTO but Cool nice shit love it bro keep
I love this song and I think I understand why some people say we are borrowing but frankly this sounds fairly Cameroonian I don’t hear any Nigerian Pidgin except the “azonto” tittle but even that is Ghanaian not Nigerian. Basically there’s alot of borrowing in African music it’s a form of flattery but this is still fairly Cameroonian vibes
